From chef-driven Friendsgiving feasts and farm-fresh pies, to full-service catering, seasonal salads, and even a Holiday Survival Kit, local businesses are serving up festive ways to celebrate Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving approaches, St. Louisans can give thanks to the delicious seasonal selections local businesses and restaurants have to offer. See below for a list of our clients’ offerings for celebrating Thanksgiving with flavor this year.
Butler’s Pantry (1414 Park Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63104): Butler’s Pantry’s Thanksgiving catering is available for drop-off and pick-up orders with their Thanksgiving Dinner Entertaining Now menu (see photos here). Celebrate Thanksgiving with Butler’s Pantry and enjoy the Thanksgiving Dinner ($700+, serves up to 12 guests) featuring delicious twists on favorites, including Maple Brined Pork Loin, Butternut Squash & Potato Au Gratin, and Chocolate Orange Mousse Cake, as well as classics like Green Bean Mushroom Casserole, Whole Roasted Turkey, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and more! Enhancements can be added to orders, like classic Apple Pies and Pomegranate BBQ Shrimp. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available upon request. Café la Vie (7730 Bonhomme Ave., Clayton, Mo. 63105): The French-inspired restaurant located at Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton serves a special Thanksgiving menu on Thursday, Nov. 27, available for lunch and dinner. The meal includes a salad buffet, a plated entrée featuring herb-roasted turkey with savory gravy, garlic-herbed mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, green bean casserole, and assorted rolls, followed by a dessert buffet with seasonal selections such as pumpkin pie and cranberry streusel. Adult plates are $62 per person, and children ages 2-12 can dine for $32 per child. Reservations are recommended and can be made through OpenTable.
Casa Don Alfonso (100 Carondelet Plaza, Clayton, Mo. 63105): The elevated Southern Italian eatery located in The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is offering a Friendsgiving prix fixe menu beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and every dinner service until Thanksgiving, as well as a delicious dine-in Thanksgiving Day spread for brunch and dinner. The Thanksgiving experiences include a brunch buffet ($105 for adults, $55 for children) from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a three-course Thanksgiving dinner ($85 per person) starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28. Friendsgiving Feast: The restaurant offers a prix fixe, family-style Friendsgiving Feast ($89 per person, minimum of 2 guests) from Wednesday, Nov. 12, through Wednesday, Nov. 26 during dinner service. Guests begin with an antipasto platter and Insalata di e Pere, followed by a Trio Pasta Tower featuring pumpkin & chestnut tortellini, black truffle gnocchi, and spinach & ricotta cannelloni. For the main course, diners may choose between grilled branzino with cherry tomato ragout and sautéed spinach or a turkey ballotine with roasted potatoes and herb gravy. Side dishes include broccolini al forno and classic eggplant parmigiana. Dessert selections feature Chocolate Caprese with vanilla ice cream or a Chocolate Pumpkin Tiramisu. Thanksgiving Brunch: For brunch, guests can expect an elevated traditional Thanksgiving fare, including Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque, Brioche Herbed Stuffing, Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham, Maple Roasted Sweet Potato, alongside the upscale, classic brunch options including Eggs Benedict, a live omelet station, a raw bar with oysters and shrimp, Charcuterie and Cheese, pastries, and more. Thanksgiving Dinner: Leave the cooking to the Casa Don Alfonso team on Thanksgiving. Casa Don Alfonso hosts Thanksgiving dinner from 6-10 p.m. on the evening of Nov. 27, featuring an elevated prix fixe menu ($89 per person) including Chestnut and Leek Velouté, Maple Brined Turkey Roulade, and Apple Cinnamon Pie with vanilla Ice cream. Eckert’s Farms (971 Green Mount Road, Belleville, Il. 62222): The eighth-generation farm with three locations in Southern Illinois is ready for Thanksgiving with a full lineup of seasonal offerings, including Eckert’s home-baked pies available in classic flavors like pumpkin, Dutch apple, pecan, French Silk, and more. Pies are be available for pre-order starting Oct. 31 online or by calling 618-233-0513, with pickup at the bakery department.
Eckert’s is also serving Thanksgiving-inspired meals this season, such as the Thanksgiving Feast, including turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, rolls, and pumpkin pie. This offer serves 4-6 people and is available beginning Oct. 31 via the online store, with extra sides available at an additional cost. Eckert’s Cider Shed also offers a Friendsgiving plate. Offered every Wednesday & Thursday in November, guests can dine on oven-roasted turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, freshly baked dinner rolls, and a slice of home-baked pumpkin pie. Please note: Eckert’s is closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Expat BBQ (3730 Foundry Way, St. Louis, MO 63110): This Thanksgiving, Expat BBQ from Niche Food Group offers a full holiday menu for catering. Customers can order a “Fall Thanksgiving Feast” ($135) that includes a 6 lb Smoked Turkey, 1 qt. of House-made Turkey Gravy, and 1 qt. per side (comes with 7 sides, including Green Bean Casserole, Coleslaw, Collard Greens and Ham Hocks, Sweet Potato Casserole, Traditional Studding, and Potato Salad). Expat BBQ also offers items to order a la carte, including Smoked Turkey Breast with Gravy ($45, approx. 6lbs, and serves 3-4 people), House-made Turkey Gravy for $12 a quart, and sides by a quart (serves 2-3 people); Green Bean Casserole ($18) Coleslaw ($14) Collard Greens and Ham Hocks ($18), Sweet Potato Casserole ($14), Traditional Stuffing ($18), Cranberry Sauce ($14), and Potato Salad ($14). Guests receive a $25 Niche Food Group gift card for every $100 spent on Expat BBQ Thanksgiving catering orders placed before Monday, Nov. 10 (distributed to qualifying orders during order pick up). Neon Greens (4176 Manchester Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110): Neon Greens, the radically transparent restaurant known for its made-to-order craft salads, brings its hyper-fresh greens to the holiday season (photos here). Catering orders feature a selection of large-format salads, with favorites like Everything Beet, Seeded Wedge, and Thai BBQ, which serve 6-10 people, Chewy Cheese Bready, wraps, soup, and cookies. Neon Greens’ salads are a fresh addition to any holiday feast, providing locally sourced produce and greens that were harvested from the restaurant’s on-site farm. Wrap trays also make lunch during or after Thanksgiving easy with 24 individual half wraps in one order. Guests choose from Buffalo Chicken Wraps or Rainbow Wraps, with a side of chips or fresh fruit per order. Pastaria: Pastaria, the approachable Italian restaurant from Niche Food Group and James Beard award-winning Chef Gerard Craft, will offer their infamous Sardella Rolls ($15.50) for Thanksgiving catering. Each pan contains six of the fluffy, buttery rolls already frozen and ready for baking (baking instructions included). The Sardella Rolls are available for pre-order here and available for pickup on November 26.
SWADE Cannabis’ Holiday Survival Kit (multiple locations): Back by popular demand, SWADE Cannabis is bringing back a customer favorite bundle in limited quantities this holiday season. SWADE’s Holiday Survival Kit hits shelves beginning on Black Friday, November 28, just in time to enhance the Thanksgiving holiday.
